2. Compose and submit the two following essays (4 pages, double spaced, name on each page):
Community living entails greater sacrifices than a standard roommate situation.
What is your vision of community life, both in a general sense and with regard to specific daily routines?
What life experiences have helped you form this vision?
What other experiences will you bring that will prove valuable to your community?
What aspects of your faith will make you a contributor to your community?

Describe why you want to become a teacher in the Catholic Schools through the LANCE program.
Discuss how the mission and design of LANCE’s focus on professional teaching matches your own personal,
spiritual, and vocational goals.
What unique life experiences and personal gifts contribute to your desire and ability to teach?
(4 pages, double spaced)
3. Submit a recent resume together with a list of your work experiences and extracurricular activities.
4. Request official transcripts from every college or university attended for undergraduate (and
graduate) study. These must be sent directly to CBU.
5. If your undergraduate grade point average is less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, take the PPST (pre-Professional Skills Test) and have the scores sent directly to CBU.
6. If you are seeking initial licensure, the following tests must be passed before the August term begins:
-Praxis I (all 3 sections)
-Content Knowledge Praxis II in the area where you are seeking licensure
